Woodland Inn has a great location by the Houston Airport and close by to Houston. However, there are lots of things to do while you’re staying in Humble, Texas. Our hotel is also located close by the Humble Civic Center where many large events in the region are held. Many great organizations can be presented to the community in a large space with plenty of parking. Old Macdonald Farm isn’t just a children’s song here in Humble, it’s a great place to visit too!
Have you been on the interstate for too long? The Mercer Botanic Gardens have 300 acres showcasing native and cultivated plants. Located along Cypress Creek, these gardens have a department facility for botanic research. The Mercer Botanic Gardens have walking trails, playground facilities, and picnic areas. There is no fee for admission, making this a wonderful stop in your travels whether you prefer to visit on your own or with family. This Harris County Park is located on either side of Aldine Westfield Road.
The Jesse H Jones Park 7 Nature Center is the park to visit if you’re looking for lots of great trails or the opportunity to see some snakes. This 312 acre nature preserve has free admission and over eight miles of paved handicap-friendly trails in addition to several unpaved trails. The Nature Center has environmental display and mounted specimens as well as a permanent display of live snakes native to Harris County. Throughout Jones Park, you may see wildlife such as amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish, and various mammals. Come out and explore the area!

This is the perfect family-friendly activity for birthday parties or day outings. Old MacDonald’s Farm has been open since 1991 and a one day pass is just ten dollars a person!
